PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO MAKING A BOOKING

Our agreement with You –
Please consider the following prior to booking:

1.1 Our agreement with you binds you, the person named on the booking, and all members of your party, including children and any day visitors. You must ensure that all members of your party are aware of, and accept all of this agreement. It starts from the day the booking is made and continues until the last member of your party has left the park (and includes any extensions of time to your booking).

1.2 We have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse to accept any booking, and obtain the name, age, address and gender of each member of your party before confirming your booking or at any time during your stay. You must provide us with full details of your party, which must include you, prior to arrival.

1.3 We have the right to cancel your booking, or to instruct you or your party to leave the Park immediately, without compensation or refund, should you or any of your party not comply with this agreement, particularly relating to the terms where behaviour and conduct have not been complied with, or where you or any member of your party has been asked to leave our Park on a previous occasion or if we consider the stay not a holiday.

1.4 We no longer accept multiple bookings. Bookings must be made by the person the individual booking is for.

1.5 Balances must be paid by the date stated on your booking confirmation. It is your responsibility to ensure your balance is paid by this date, and if you fail to do so your booking will be cancelled.

1.6 For any change in the booking there is an administration charge of £10.00. Confirmed bookings cannot be altered less than two weeks prior to arrival. Booking alterations can only be made for the current year, we do not roll bookings over to the next year.

1.7 Please notify us if you are going to arrive later than 6pm or at a later date.

1.8 There are no refunds. The management cannot be held responsible for any change in your circumstances.

1.9 In the event of a cancellation by you, you remain liable for the full payment of your holiday. You are therefore advised to take out Holiday Insurance.

2.0 In the event that we are able to rebook/re-let the cancelled booking we will refund any monies recouped, less any deposit and amendment fee.

2.1 If you choose to leave the park before your departure date for whatever reason (inc. weather) no refunds will be given for the remaining days of your booking.

2.2 You must be over 21 to make a booking and there must be at least one capable and responsible adult over the age of 21 on each touring pitch, or in each unit of accommodation. You may not have the majority of persons on any booking aged between 17 & 21.

2.3 You will be asked to leave if more than the persons stated on the booking form occupy the accommodation/ pitch. The members of your party and the allocation of guests in each accommodation/pitch must remain as notified to us.

2.4 Bookings are accepted for families and couples only. We DO NOT accept same or majority gender parties i.e. Stag & Hen parties/Birthday Party Celebrations are not permitted and we reserve the right to ask such parties to leave without refund.

2.5 We do not allow supermarket deliveries on site. We encourage our guests to support the local shops in the village and surrounding area.

2.6 Only ONE car may be parked at each pitch/accommodation (exceptions apply). Extra vehicles/day visitors cars – MUST be parked in the car park and a ticket obtained from Reception and displayed in the vehicle window (charges apply – £5 per night or £5 per day for visitors).

2.7 Transit vans, work or commercial vehicles must be parked in the car park, and are by arrangement only. Motorised scooters may not be used on site unless road legal and covered by a valid certificate of insurance.

2.8 In the event of any accommodation booked not being available, for any reason whatsoever, the liability of the proprietors shall in no circumstances exceed a refund of any amount already received by them.

2.9 Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park recommend that customers take out their own travel insurance.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed Holiday Park suitable for families.

3.0 Motorised recreational vehicles cannot be used on the Park (includes scooters, bikes, children’s ride-ons).

3.1 Please note we use CCTV cameras on our parks.

3.2 Behaviour and Compliance with this Agreement – your behaviour should not be excessive, noisy or disruptive, especially at night. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. We may ask you or any member of your party to leave immediately if your conduct is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm, or impair the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other customers, staff or the general public, or is likely in our belief, to breach any of our agreement with you. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances.

3.3 You are responsible for the supervision of your party under the age of 21. You must supervise your children and babies at all times. Children under 8 must be accompanied at all times on the Park by an adult.

3.4 We operate a challenge 21 policy in our licensed premises and only sell alcohol to persons over 18. We reserve the right to request a valid form of nationally approved identification if in doubt.

3.5 You are expected to keep the noise on your pitch to an acceptable level so as not to disturb the peace of other guests. No loud music is to be played, and we insist upon no noise after 10pm.

3.6 Solar Lights, Fireworks, Pyrotechnics and Sky Lanterns are prohibited on the park. You may not bring or use any shotgun, knife, firearm, archery equipment, any illegal substances or similar to the Park under any circumstances.

3.7 Customers are welcome to bring a BBQ to use at their pitch. If you are using a disposable BBQ it must be lifted off the ground (BBQ blocks available to borrow). Customers must not, under any circumstances, light fires or use fire bowls at their pitches.

3.8 The use/flying of drones or any other powered aircraft is not permitted on the Park, unless express permission has been given, in advance, by ourselves in writing.

3.9 We occasionally take photographs for advertising purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any such material please inform us at the time.

4.0 Parents of children with bikes/scooters must ensure they are ridden in a courteous and responsible manner and supervised by an adult at all times. In the interests of safety, bicycles are only to be ridden during the hours of daylight. Play areas to be used only during daylight hours.

4.1 All accidents during your stay must be reported to reception.

Tents and Tourers

4.2 We reserve the right to reallocate your chosen pitch if we deem necessary in order to assist with the smooth running of the park.

4.3 You are expected to ensure the area around your pitch is kept clean and tidy.

4.4 FOR TENTS: Please note: Electricity is NOT included in the price. All electric is metered.

4.5 Waste disposal points are provided for normal household waste and recycling. All chemical waste from caravan toilets must be disposed of in the chemical waste disposal point provided. All grey waste must be disposed of into marked drainage points only, and must not be discharged into the ground.

4.6 Caravan Pitches are all fully serviced with drains for grey waste only.

4.7 Strictly no pup tents or gazebos.

4.8 We do not accept group bookings. Maximum persons per pitch = 6. Please have the size of your tent available when booking. All confirmed bookings are for the size stated only.

4.9 Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. Dogs must be exercised either off the Park or on the designated dog exercise area.

  • All dog waste must be picked up and disposed of in the bins provided.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
  • Dogs are not allowed in the Shop, Reception or Playground (except guide dogs).

Self-Catering Accommodation

5.0 All our accommodation is inclusive of electricity, gas and water, and fully equipped with TV, microwave, full sized cooker, fridge/freezer and fully fitted bathroom. Beds will be made up for your arrival. Whilst we strive to accommodate requests for a specific unit number – we cannot guarantee this in advance, and reserve the right to offer equal or greater standard accommodation. Pets permitted in specific accommodation only by prior arrangement and there will be a £20 charge. All accommodation is strictly non-smoking.

5.1 A non-refundable deposit of £100 per unit per week/part week is required at the time of booking, the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled after this time will not be refunded unless the unit can be re-let and this is at the discretion of the park. No reminder will be sent for balance payment, and we reserve the right to cancel any bookings if the balance has not been paid by the date set.

5.2 If your Accommodation is damaged by you or someone in your party during your stay, we have the right to recover the cost of this from you, including any extra cleaning costs.

5.3 Arrival time: 4pm Departure time: 10am

Pods

5.4 Electric is included in the price of a Pod, but supply is limited to 16amps. You must only use low wattage camping equipment in the pods otherwise you risk tripping the supply to all the Pods.

5.5 Your Pod and the area around your Pod must be kept clean and tidy. If you leave your Pod in an unacceptable condition i.e; untidy or cause any damage, you will lose your £10 key deposit.

5.6 Arrival time: 1pm Departure time: 10am

5.7 Any concerns or assistance you require should be brought to our attention immediately. We always aim to give prompt assistance to you if you are in difficulty and to respond promptly to any concerns you raise so that you can continue to enjoy your holiday.

5.8 Please note we are not responsible for any matter of which you were aware and did not bring to our attention during your holiday.
